Earth Hour 2016 in Ward 13

Date:
19 Mar 2016 - 7:30pm to 9:30pm

Gather at historic Lambton House, 4066 Old Dundas St.

Green 13 is happy to partner with Heritage York in hosting Ward 13's 8th annual Earth Hour Candlelight Walk, this year again by the Humber River.

Gather at historic Lambton House just after 7:15 pm. At sunset, 7:30 pm, weather permitting, we will walk with lanterns, by candlelight and by flashlight, and then make our way back to Lambton House for some light refreshments, acoustic music, storytelling, and to celebrate local initiatives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

The Plan
  • Turn your power down at home
  • To start the walk at 7:30 PM, join your neighbours at 7:15 PM at historic Lambton House, 4066 Old Dundas Street. Note: Parking is limited. Bus #55 from Jane Station stops at the door. Bus #30 travels along Dundas St W.; exit at Howland Ave. and walk S down the stairway, then west about 1/2  block.
  • Enjoy a guided walk along the historic Humber River. We will start and end at Heritage York’s historic Lambton House.
  • Please stay for light refreshments following the walk.
  • Remember to bring your own candle or lantern or flashlight.
  • Note that some pathways are not suitable for strollers.
