About the film

This film, Tomorrow ("Demain") has had a phenomenal impact in France, Belgium, and well over 30 other countries. Already viewed by over 1.5 million people in France alone, and winner of Best Documentary at the Cesar Awards (the French Oscars), ‘Tomorrow’ has been hugely impactful.  Produced by activist and writer Cyril Dion and actress/director Mélanie Laurent (see below), it tells the story of their search for solutions to the crisis humanity faces.

The Junction Cares for its Japanese Plum Tree

This landmark tree, located on BMO property at the SW corner of Keele and Dundas, has been neglected and suffered greatly from the drought of 2016. Junction Adopt-a-Street-Tree volunteers have been watering it throughout this past growing season, but realized it needs more than water. On Saturday, October 21,  arborist extraordinaire Philip van Wassenaer will prune the tree, and supervise soil amendment and mulching by volunteers.

Tree For Me - get a free tree to plant on your property!

Green 13 and Annette Street Public Library, through the Toronto Parks and Trees Foundation, offer you the chance to get a free tree - one that is right for your soil and the location where you will plant.   We will demonstrate proper unpacking, planting and mulching techniques.  Free refreshments will be provided, and a bag of mulch!  (bring a plastic bag for your mulch).  Choose a demonstration and pick-up time  between 10am and 12:30 pm.

Last day to register is Thursday November 16.
