On January 20, 2015, Green 13 hosted a presentation at Swansea Town Hall, explaining what ground source geothermal energy is, followed by a second presentation explaining options and ideas for using geothermal resources to heat homes, create jobs, and pay for Ontario’s transit. Douglas Worts presented on GHG emissions from buildings, what geothermal heating/cooling is, the challenges and opportunities of geothermal, and Green Laurier, a case study. Johanna Hofmann talked about community energy co-ops in Ontario. Paul Mero, Co-Chair of Green 13,  explained urban royalties, sustainable cities, and the very real potential of geothermal to resolve some of our climate issues.
Below, you will find the links to the presentation, with our thanks to Vincent Pang.
